Kieren Fallon trial starts today at the Old Bailey London expected to last three months

Charges against Kieren Fallon and others .... with what...?


Kieren Fallon, a highly talented professional jockey, (possibly the best ever seen on a British racecourse) was charged with 'Conspiracy to defraud Betfair customers' along with Miles Rodgers, 38, racehorse owner of Silkstone, South Yorkshire, Darren Williams, 29, jockey, from Leyburn, North Yorkshire, Fergal Lynch, 29, jockey from Boroughbridge, North Yorkshire, Shaun Lynch, 37, driver, from North Yorkshire, Philip Sherkle, 40, a barman from Tamworth, Staffordshire, offending under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

Turfcall Comment

How could Kieren Fallon, a jockey of this calibre possibly have time in his busy daily work schedule to be doing anything like this? Surely this must be a gross injustice and an insult to his integrity. Also what expertise within this particular environment do those chosen to sit in judgement have to ensure a level legal playing field. In Turfcall's view NONE WHAT-SO-EVER!
